Procedural Politics is about the ways in which rules do and do not structure political life. It develops an arguement about when actors will try and reshape political rules, rather than operating within them, and applies the argument to European Union (EU) integration and politics. It demonstrates that the European Union is far more deeply rule-governed than is traditionally understood and it paints a much fuller picture of the role of rules in political life than is available in most existing work.
