This volume contains peer-reviewed papers that were presented at the 1st Annual International Urolithiasis Research Symposium, held in Indianapolis, Indiana, in November 2006. This conference featured a very distinguished international faculty whose present research is clearly advancing the field of stone disease. This conference marked the first presentation of data on the interface between a renal stone and its tissue attachment site.
