Supply Chain Management refers to the management of the connecting links between channels/nodes involved in the supply of goods and services required for use by the end customers in the chain. It covers all the steps from transportation to storage of all three types of materials, raw materials, work-in-process and finished product, to their supply to the end users. Supply Chain Management: Text And Cases is a book on the theoretical concepts and the practical applications of the supply chain management system. There are five parts to the book, beginning with Introduction to Supply Chain Management. This part contains sections titled The Role of the Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Strategy and Performance Measures, and Outsourcing: Make versus Buy.
