The book is intended to assist the students and staff taking cardiothoracic nursing. This book aims to provide nurses with the appropriate knowledge to meet the challenges in caring for patients with cardiothoracic disease. It is designed to be an easy-to-use guide and not as an exhaustive textbook. Additional sources may need to be accessed to provide any further required information. Textbooks are necessary for the students to acquire a thorough knowledge of the subject. This book on the other hand is designed to provide the readers with detailed knowledge and skills to manage the nursing care of patients today, changing the healthcare environment. The book comprises of 19 chapters, is divided into two sections, section A and section B. The book aimed primarily at postgraduate students for specialization in cardiothoracic nursing will also be useful for undergraduate students. Certain portions which deal with recent advances are meant for the postgraduate levels.
