The Canadian Polity A Comparative Introduction

Appropriate for introductory Canadian Government courses that emphasize a comparative element (not comparative politics). This is often a one-semester course.Introduces students to political analysis, the fundamentals of Canadian government, and the study of comparative government. It begins with an overview of the nature of government and politics, considers basic political processes and behaviour, and concludes with an assessment of the Canadian polity. Discussions of American and British systems are included to place the Canadian system in a broad perspective.
