The Dynamics of Industrial Collaborationrevisits and reformulates issues previously raised by inter-firm collaboration. The authors use several theoretical perspectives to explain inter-firm and inter-institutional collaboration: the theory of transaction costs and contracts, evolutionary theory, and the resource-based view.
