The Future of Global Oil Production: Facts, Figures, Trends and Projections, by Region

As the demand for oil and natural gas continues to increase, accurate forecasting of future production capabilities becomes increasingly important--and remains disturbingly out of reach. Though oil reserve data are published in such industry publications as Oil & Gas Journal and World Oil, these data come from government information that is often woefully incomplete, hopelessly optimistic, or simply outdated. Complicating the picture is the fact that different countries define "oil reserves" in different ways.
