(Not a blurb at this stage) Will be split into 3 volumes divided as follows:Vol I: Drugs of Abuse - The International SceneThis volume will reproduce articles that discuss patterns of the availability and use of drugs around the world.Vol II: Prevention and Treatment of Drug AbuseThis volume will include articles on efforts made by scientists, practitioners and international organizations to reduce the consumption of drugs for all kinds of populations; what works ?Vol III: The Drugs and Crime ConnectionThis volume will focus on articles that cover the relationship between drug abuse and crime; international markets for drugs (sources of supply and demand); international trafficking (production; smuggling); role of organized crime groups in trafficking, including money laundering; operation of drug markets (in the demand countries); enforcement efforts at the local, regional and international levels.
