The Total Quality Management Approach to IT Security

The author reviews the major quality- and security-related areas in IT and describes their interdependencies. In particular he considers: the basic quality concepts, how they can be measured and where IT fits in; IT security and quality - how the two are intertwined and how quality can assist in handling security related problems; the most important quality standards; the existing security standards; and the essential skills and knowledge required to peform an effective audit within security, and the applications of quality to these audits.
