Water Quality: Assessment and Management

Water quality refers to the different chemical, radiological, physical and biological characteristics of water. It also refers to the measurement of the condition of water taking into consideration its usefulness and need for different purposes. Water is treated for three major utilizations of human consumption, industrial use, and environmental health. Different parameters such as pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, etc. are measured for determining water quality. Sample collection, chemical analysis and real-time monitoring are employed for the assessment of water quality.
